Origin Notes:

Salmo Plus Natural

Carefully sourced from select producers who meet rigorous quality standards, Salmo Plus Natural has become a standout offering within their portfolio. This signature Cerrado blend captures the rich character and natural sweetness that define the region’s coffees.

The coffee cherries are left to fully ripen on the branch, allowing concentrated sugars and fruit-forward complexity to develop naturally under the Brazilian sun. Once the cherries reach optimal dryness, they are mechanically harvested, carefully sorted, and dried on patios to enhance sweetness and deepen flavor development throughout the bean.

To ensure exceptional consistency and cup quality, further refines the process by screening and sorting the green coffee prior to export. The result is a clean, approachable coffee with remarkable balance, sweetness, and depth.

Coffee from Cerrado

The Cerrado region is one of Brazil’s most remarkable agricultural landscapes, home to nearly 5% of the world’s biodiversity. Characterized by abundant sunlight, rich savannah terrain, and stable growing conditions, Cerrado has emerged over the past several decades as one of the world’s premier coffee-producing regions.

Following the devastating frost and pest outbreaks that impacted Brazil’s coffee industry in the 1970s, pioneering farmers turned to Cerrado’s untapped potential. Their resilience and innovation transformed the region into a thriving coffee hub spanning more than 210,000 hectares.

Today, Cerrado is recognized globally for its advanced farming practices, commitment to quality, and consistent production of exceptional coffees.

About Brazilian Coffee

Brazil’s coffee legacy began in 1727 when Arabica seeds were introduced from French Guiana. Within a century, Brazil had established itself as the world’s leading coffee producer, with coffee becoming a driving force behind the nation’s economic growth and global influence.

As the industry expanded following the abolition of slavery in 1888, waves of immigrants helped strengthen Brazil’s coffee-growing regions and infrastructure. By the 1920s, Brazil supplied nearly 80% of the world’s coffee.

Today, Brazil remains the largest coffee producer in the world, responsible for more than one-third of global coffee production while also maintaining one of the world’s largest domestic coffee markets. The industry supports millions of jobs across the country and continues to shape coffee culture around the globe through its scale, innovation, and dedication to quality.
