Approximately one out of every three cups of coffee brewed around the globe is Brazilian, making it the world's number one exporter of coffee. 90% of those exports are Arabica, prized for its mild and balanced flavor profile. This coffee is often found in some of the most beloved espresso blends.

Brazil is home to many coffee-growing regions with distinct levels of altitude, plant varieties, and harvest techniques. Like different wines that vary based on their terroir and climate, each coffee hailing from its corresponding Brazilian region has a unique taste, body, acidity, and sweetness.

In fact, five of those regions have been awarded protected Geographical Indication (GI) status in recognition of their particular characteristics and origin. These are Cerrado Mineiro, Região de Pinhal Alta, Mogiana, Norte Pioneiro do Paraná, and Serra da Mantiqueira de Minas Gerais.
